Brussel – In one European symposium about Effects of Palm Oil towards the Health in Brussel, Wednesday, June 25th, 2014, attended by many health and nutrients experts in Europe Union, it was told that, palm oil is good for human beings for it has betacaroteen, vitamin A and E. “It is a misleading perception to say, consuming palm oil could increase the risk of stroke and heart attack,” it was the conclusion in the symposium.
Numbers of European experts attending the symposium were Albert Dijkstra, cooking oil processing specialist; Jean Graille, biotechnic and technology fat specialist; Guy-Andre Pelouze, thoracic and cardiovascular specialist; Furio Brighenti, Professor in Food from Parma University, Italia; and Aseem Malhotra, cardiology interventional specialist from Croydon University Hospital, England. The symposium was also attended by all European palm oil stakeholders, including the NGO and food industries. (T2)
