SINGAPURA – Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Golden Agri-Resources Ltd (GAR), Franky Widjaja mentioned, in the long term, palm oil is a promising industry though there are lots of soybean productions, the decreasing palm oil production, and the slow crude palm oil (CPO) productions development.
“But the biodiesel policy in Indonesia is the good sign to the future CPO,” he said in his official statement, Tuesday (12/5).
Beside that, he knew that the palm oil global demands, both for food and non food sectors, are increasing, especially in the developing countries.
He also mentioned, in the first quarter of 2015 (1Q2015), the total palm oil planted areas of GAR reach 484.937 hectares, which consist of 383.902 hectares of the main plantations and 101.035 hectares of plasma farmers.
The group mentioned, the additional planted areas are mostly from the consolidation of plantation assest which the company gets by the end of 2012. (T3)
