BAGANSIAPI-API –The selling fruit production belonging to the farmers in village of Bagansiapi-api, Subdistrict of Bangko and around decreased from Rp 1.100/kg up to Rp 1.000/kg to be Rp 1.000/kg and Rp 900/kg
One palm oil farmer in Bagansiapi-api, Rizal (40) said, the decreasing fruit price might influence by the distance to transport to the collecting place or other reasons.
But, the other palm oil farmer, Anwar (44) said, it was good harvest because palm oil trees were in fruit and had passed the track season.
“In the track time, the trees were not in fruit, but the trees are in fruit now. In one harvest, it could reach 8 carries,” he explained as quoted from Riau Pos, Thursday (30/4). (T3)
