KUALA LUMPUR – President of Indonesian Republic,JokoWidodo (Jokowi) in his visit to Malaysia, Sunday (26/4) said, Indonesia should be ready to face Asean Economic Community (AEC) 2015.
The most important thing to face AEC, he said, is by re - identifying the commodity to be the mainstay export.
"All products having competitiveness in the markets, could compete from the nearest places, to the ASEAN countries and they should be identified,” he said as written in CNN Indonesia.
Jokowi is also optimistic, the Indonesian exports are as same as the ASEAN countries’, such as, palm oil which could penetrate the other markets.
“We must be optimistic. Don’t be pessimistic, afraid. Every country is afraid of the emerge of AEC,”
“For example, palm oil is not in the ASEAN countries, right? Our palm oil is to European countries, is not it? I think, we have many kinds of competitive products. This is being identified,” he said. (T3)
