OPDAG Will Make Ghana Be the CPO Exporter

GHANA – Oil Palm Development Association of Ghana (OPDAG) emphasized, it is made to ensure that Ghana will be the palm oil exporter in the next five or ten years to go. 

President of OPDAG, Samuel Avaala said, the launching of the association in the ceremony will give the profits to Ghana with all its natural resources to produce palm oil.

He continued, OPDAG will make that palm oil becomes the second commodity after cocoa in the exchange revenue.

As a country, we need to double the production in the next 10 to 25 years so we could independently produce palm oil and save the exchange which is in the import budget,” he said as quoted from Ghanaweb, Wednesday (23/4). 

Samuel continued, the association belived, to develop palm oil in Ghana, it cannot sit only and hope to the government, ministries and boards. But to get it, we should get out of the situations.

“As the industrial businessmen, we have the roles to play and collaborate with the government and every stakeholder in Ghana to be the big palm oil exporter country,” he said. (T3)
