ROHUL – In the creative hands of kelompok usaha bersama (KUB) Manunggal Mandiri in Village of Sikebau Jaya, Subdistrict of Rokan IV Koto,palm oil waste could not only be the waste only but it becomes the useful thing to give additional income.

KUB Manunggal Mandiri has advantaged the palm oil midrib to be wiker, ceiling, gazebo and other kinds of handycrafts.

Head of Cooperation Agency, Industry and Trade, Rokan Hulu, Tengku Rafli Armien,  through its Section Head of Promotion, Maskur, Monday (20/4), as quoted fromRohul Today explained, the wiker from palm oil midrib is done for some last months. The people do this to add their family income which will make replanting programme.

He continued, this was recently identified by the local government so the Agency just gives counceling. While to add their modal business, the loan will be facilitated by the Agency to the third sides, such as, the banks of financial institutions so in the future, this business could develop.

“From the Agency, we keep trying to develop the productive economy and Kelompok Usaha Bersama Manunggal Mandiri, Village of Sikebau Jaya has been helped by us through the counceling. While the business modal will be facilitated through the third sides,” he said. (T3)
