BENGKULU–Head of Water Resource, Public Work Agency, District of Mukomuko, Zamhari said, River Agency of Sumatera VII, Bengkulu Province does not allow palm oil factory (POF) –  PT Karya Sawitindomas which is in agricultue region in District of Mukomuko, to take water in the irrigation for the company’s interests.

“It is not allowed by River Agency Sumatera VII,” he explained when being asked about the monitoring result of River Agency team Sumatera VII to the company in Mukomuko, Wednesdy (15/4) as quoted from Antara.
 

He thought, the team which saw to the field has forbidden the company to take the irrigation water which derives from Air Manjuto river. The team also has given written and oral forbidience to the company.

He continued, the River Agency Team Sumatera VII also took the civil government investigators who socialized the regulation which forbade irrigation water.

In the future, the River Agency will be routine to monitor the company to anticipate the activity keeps running or not. “After this, the River Agency will be routine to monitor the company so that the irrigation for the farmers will not be taken by the company in Mukomuko,” he said. (T3)
