JAKARTA – Indonesia is now the biggest crude palm oil (CPO) producer in the world with the export volume reaching 21 millions tons per year from 28 millions tons of CPO which were produced. But the government now does not focus to export only but also the domestic needs.
General Director of Foreign Trade, Partogi Pangaribuan said, though Indonesia is targetting to increase the export about 300%, CPO for special, do not target to export only but also should fulfill the domestic needs. “We also commit to the downstream industry and to fulfill mandatory biodiesel of CPO,” he recently explained in Jakarta.
