JAKARTA – Within the investment reaching US$467 millions or Rp6,07 billions (Rp13.000/US$), it is said, there are four companies planning to build palm oil factories in crude palm oil (CPO) – base.
Referring to General Directorate New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the companies are, PT Sinar Mas Agro Resouces within 1,3 millions kiloliter capacity which will be built in Dumai and Merunda, PT Bayas Biofuel within 862.000 kl capacity in Dumai.
The two others are trading company which the center is in Amsterdam Louis Dreyfus Commodities within 379.999 kiloliter capacity in Lampung and PT Elite Environmental Energy within the capacity about 124.000 kiloliter in Cilegon.
The investment plans emerge for the mandatory of biodiesel policy, published in the Regulation of Secretary of Energy and Mineral Resources, No. 20 / 2014 which will be done in phase, starting from B10 (10%) which has been running, B15 (15%) which started in April 2015 and B20 which starts in January 2016.
Before it, General Directorate of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conversion, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Rida Mulyana said, PT Shell Indonesia has declared its will to build factory – vegetable fuel base in Pulau Laut, South Kalimantan.(T2)
