KUALA LUMPUR – Cargill which relates the partnership with Liar Asia and Solidaridad had helped 34 independent farmers in Perak, Malaysia, to get Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO) on March 2oth, 2015.

The partnership programme has helped the small farmers to be connected to the sustainable chain of stock and globally certified. They lead the way to the other small farmers to join the programme in the end of this year.

The main goal of this project is to develop the independent process which covers the independent farmers, traders and factories to reach the certified sustainable palm oil. Malaysia is the second biggest producer in the world. Cargill, Liar Asia and Solidaridad have given technical helps and training to the palm oil farmers to get RSPO.

The programme is to help  100 independent palm oil farmers in Malaysia to get RSPO which is the standard sustainable production by the end of 2015. This is also part of Cargill’s commitment to fulfill the sustainable chain of stocks.

“Small palm oil farmers are important parts of palm oil chain of stock. They are ready too to get RSPO certification.
