KUALA LUMPUR – Four members of United Kingdom, European parliament admire Malaysia to solve the poverty and provide food to the small farmers through planting palm oil.
They thought, palm oil industry has given good things to solve the poverty, increase the prosperity and postpone the people to move to other regions.
Palm oil industry, he continued, is like the “Crowns” for it has made a miracle from the export income. Beside that, it gives big values to the economy and increase the income of the people.
A parliament member of Europe, Richard Ashworth said, palm oil is a productive plant and it has incredible outcome capacity. “When I am in my hometown, the first thing I tell to them (the people) is that your country has good plans to develop this commodity,” he said.
“It is no doubt, Malaysia has done good works by increasing the social lives of tens of thousands small farmers than ‘the absolute poverty’,” he said to Bernama, Thursday (2/4). (T3)
