Musim Mas Signed IPOP

SINGAPURA – The company running palm oil industry, Musim Mas Group has signed Indonesian Palm Oil Pledge (IPOP) which aims to develop Indonesian palm oil conservation agenda.

The group has run proactive approach to lead the business and its operation to implement the responsible practices for the social and environments.

“One of palm oil plantation belonging to Musim mas is the first plantation in Indonesia having Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil  (RSPO and since that, all plantations, including the Primer Cooperation Credits belonging to Musim Mas has got RSPO certification,” the Group mentioned in its official website, Friday (27/3).

Beside that, Musim Mas is also the first company installing the methane gas capture in its whole factories which it is aimed to reduce green house effect gas emission.

IPOP was firstly initiated in September 2014 by Iindonesian Chambers and Industries as an agreement pr pledge among the palm oil producer leaders to implement conservation.

“The participation in IPO is the next step to confirm that Musim Mas commits to become a responsible company in implementing best conservation practices,” Director of Strategy and Planning, Musim Mas, TK Lim.

The focus from the pledge is to increase the concern and care to the environment, to relate the new partnership, and better approach to the stakeholders by involving the government of Indonesia to make the policy (ies), to give advantage to the people and community and to increase the Indonesia’s competitiveness.

“The other companies signing the IPOP are Asian Agri Golden Agri-Resources and Wilmar,” he explained.(T3)
