JAKARTA – General Director of New and Renewable Energy and Energy Connversion, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (EMR), Rida Mulyanasaid, palm oil producers is ready not only to implement crude palm oil (CPO) as the mixture to diesel about 15% or B15 but also B20.
“I heard, there is a commitment from the palm oil producers, the capacity is increased to be 10 millions in a very short time so that the implementation of B20 is ready too to run,” he said in the press conference, Monday (23/3).
To run B15, it is planned in April 1st, 2015. This is based on the Regulation of Secretary of EMR No. 12 / 2015, on March 18, 2015 about the Provision, Utilization, and Vegetable Commerce as the Other Fuel, that on April 1st, 2015, all the business having Commerce Business Licence are oblidged to distribute Fuel which is mixed with Vegetable Fuel 15%.
The B15 programme could save about US$ 2,54 billions or equals to Rp 31,71 billions per year. (T3)
