InfoSAWIT, KUALA LUMPUR — The role of palm oil farmers as key players in the sustainable palm oil supply chain was highlighted at the RSPO Annual Roundtable Conference on Sustainable Palm Oil (RT2025). The Forum for Sustainable Palm Oil Farmers of Indonesia (Fortasbi) stressed that the progress of Indonesian palm oil farmers depends on close cooperation with various industry stakeholders.
Rukkaiyah Rafiq (Uki), from Fortasbi, emphasized that the success of farmers in implementing sustainable practices is the result of a shared commitment built over many years. She noted that sustained support from all parties is essential.
"The success achieved by sustainable palm oil farmers requires collective strength for its continuity," Uki told InfoSAWIT on the sidelines of RSPO RT2025 on Wednesday (5/11/2025).
Fortasbi views multi-stakeholder collaboration—among farmers, government, companies, certification bodies, and global buyers—as key to ensuring a fair and inclusive palm farming system. (T1)
