InfoSAWIT, MEDAN – Fresh fruit bunch (FFB) prices in North Sumatra remained largely unchanged for the July 8–14, 2026 pricing period, with only a marginal increase recorded for mature oil palm plantations.
According to the latest decision issued by the North Sumatra Fresh Fruit Bunch Pricing Committee, the benchmark FFB price for oil palm trees aged 10 to 20 years increased by Rp1.16 per kilogram, reaching Rp3,881.83/kg, indicating a relatively stable market compared to the previous period.
Data obtained by InfoSAWIT from the North Sumatra Plantation and Livestock Office showed the following FFB prices based on plantation age:
3 years: Rp3,270.75/kg
4 years: Rp3,487.41/kg
5 years: Rp3,608.38/kg
6 years: Rp3,714.96/kg
7 years: Rp3,687.77/kg
8 years: Rp3,815.94/kg
9 years: Rp3,851.47/kg
10–20 years: Rp3,882.99/kg
21 years: Rp3,887.47/kg
22 years: Rp3,851.14/kg
23 years: Rp3,797.06/kg
24 years: Rp3,680.08/kg
25 years: Rp3,572.22/kg
26 years: Rp3,543.74/kg
27 years: Rp3,491.41/kg
28 years: Rp3,436.20/kg
29 years: Rp3,379.39/kg
30 years: Rp3,322.58/kg
For the same pricing period, the provincial committee set the reference crude palm oil (CPO) price at Rp15,360.65/kg, while palm kernel was valued at Rp13,650.91/kg. The K index was maintained at 93.76%. (T2)
The official FFB pricing mechanism is designed to provide a transparent reference for transactions between growers and palm oil mills throughout North Sumatra. Nevertheless, actual buying prices at the mill level may differ depending on local supply-demand dynamics, logistics, and commercial agreements between producers and processors.
