MUKOMUKO – To fulfill the needs of palm oil farmers in Mukomuko, the local governent keeps increasing to buy the sprouts. In this year, it is planned to buy 50 thousands sprouts.
Head of Plantation; Agriculture, Livestock, Plantation and Forestry (ALPF) Agency, District of Mukomuko, Wahyu Hidayat mentioned, in this year, his side will not buy superior seeds from the farmers but the spouts only. “The number will be more than it in last year,” he said as quoted from Antara Bengkulu, Tuesday (27/1).
If in 2014, his side bought 7.00o palm oil seeds, in this year, his side will buy 50 thousands superior palm oil sprouts within Rp 806 millions.
He continued, if the farmers had got the seeds, now they have to nurse the sprout in the first place before planting seeds. (T3)
