BOGOR – Palm oil farmers union (POFU) mentioned, they are looking for justrice from the Regulation No. 39 / 2014 which revised the Regulation No. 18 / 2004, especially about the partnership which is thought to be unfair. 

 

Chairman of POFU Nasional, Mansuetos Darto emphasized, the conflicts happening between the farmers and the companies were all about partnership. “This happen for the unfair partnership,” he said in the press release, with the theme “Looking for Justice, from Regulation No. 39/20014 about the Plantation” in Bogor, Monday (19/1). 

 

He thought, the regulation proposing partnership  programme in palm oil plantation is not the policy which the farmers suggest. The fair partnership is done by approaching the independent plantation and making the farmers cooperation as the subject.

The unfair partnership practice between the corporates and the farmers, he continued, happens for the big plantation business which is not based on the human right. 

 

“The government does not see the conflicts in plantation sector. The regulation should actually give positive solutions to people’s plantations in Indonesia,” Darto explained. (T3)
