BENGKALIS – Two defendants of burning forest and the area in five villages, they are Tapak Baru, Teluk Buntal Tanjung Sari, Lukut, Tanjung Gadai and Tanjung Suwir in Subdistrict of Tebing Tinggi, District of Meranti Island, Riau Province were released by the Chief of Court Bengkalis, Sarah Louis Simanjuntak, Wednesday, (22/1).
The two defendants, they are, the leader of PT National Sago Prima (NSP) and the Manager, Nowa Dwi Priono were accused to burn the forest and area about 21.418 hectares.
“They both are not found guilty to burn the forest and area. They are free from the charge,” Sarah explained, as quoted from Riau Terkini.
Before it, Erwin was charged to be 6 years in jail while Nowa Dwi Priono was charged 1,5 years in jail. (T3)
