JAKARTA – Ministry of Trade will officially announce the regulaton about making Letter of Credit (L/C) documents from the local bank for Indonesian exporters.
“There are about two months in this transition for it will be announced in the beginning of April,” Vice Chairman of Vice President Expert Team, Sofyan Wanandi said as quoted from Kontan, Wednesday (7/1).
This regulation will be for the exported products from mining, coal and crude palm oil (CPO) only. Secretary of Trade, Rachmat Gobel mentioned, this is still being discussed by his officers.
The government once published the same regulation in Permendag No. 1/M-DAG/PER/3/2009 about the Exported Things Using Local Bank LC. The regulation which was signed by Mari Elka Pangestu even covers rubber and coffee.
But the regulation is revised for some mining, coal and palm oil businessmen reject it. (T3)
