PEKANBARU – Chief of Investigation Bureau Yayasan Riau Madani, Ahmad Joni mentioned, his side found, palm oil plantation enlargement belonging to PT Marita Makmur Jaya (MMJ) in Rupat Island, Bengkalis broke the law and regulations – the release of forest has no substitution.
“There are some mistake in making the business licence of the plantation. It is suspected, some sides cooperated together,” he said to Tribun Pekan Baru, Wednesday (7/1).
He continued, based on the documents he has, the substitute areas, which the management of MMJ proposed, have been owned by other, that is, PT Bina Duta Laksana (Sinarmas’ plantation) about 22.830 acres which are in District of Indragiri Hulu.
“The substitution area which is belonged to others will break the law. This could be taken as a crime,” he explained.
MMJ itself has nothing to comment yet about the accusation to the compny. (T3)
