Jakarta – Palm oil plantation businessmen are insisted to really develop the commodity sustainably. There should be no deforestation, protect the wetland, pay attention to the environment and reduce the green house effects.

For these commitments, non government organization, Greenpeace thought, in some last years, palm oil companies have been serious to implement the sustainable palm oil practices. “In last several months, the companies commit. We see, the trend is increasing,” Solution Coordinator of Forest Campaign, Greenpeace Indonesia, Achmad Saleh Suhada recently said in Jakarta.

But, he continued, Greenpeace will keep monitoring the consistency and the commitments from the companies promising to implement sustainable practices. He emphasized, this is not the organization’s work only. “Once again, this is not our work only, but also the other related institutions,” he said.q T3
