North Sumatera Foreign Exchange from India Slipped

MEDAN – Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatera, on Monday (22/12/2014) reported, foreign exchange of North Sumatera from India down by 32.17% due to the lower of crde palm oil (CPO) export and its derivatives and other commodities.

“Until October, North Sumatera exports value to India still in US$ 511,239 million from the last year which reached US$ 753,677 million,” said Head of Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatera, Wien Kusdiatmono, as cited by Antara.

He opined, the lack of foreign exchange caused by the low of price and some North Sumatera traded products to India. To date, it is recorded the export such are CPO and its derivatives, rubber, herbs and spices, and areca nut. (T3)
