NIGERIA – The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA) called on the Federal Government to reconsider the ECOWAS CET document and revise the tariff on other palm oil products in line with others whose tariff are clearly stated.

NACCIMA made the call during the presentation of its communication on ‘Agriculture Value Chain’ to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Akinwumi Adesina, for his consideration and implementation.

“We wish to re-emphasized our Association’s readiness to continue to partner with the Federal Government towards the revitalization/rejuvenation of our Agricultural Sector,” said Alhaji Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, National President of NACCIMA who led the delegation, as cited by All Africa, on Monday (22/12/2014).

 Alhaji added, with all of us working as partners in progress, we will be able to achieve foods sufficiency for consumption, raw materials for industrial growth and boost our exports potentials in a manner that will make the country achieve the target of being among the first 20 agriculturally developed nations by the year 2020.
