JAKARTA – Management Decision of PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk to acquire two palm oil companies, are PT Tanjung Sawit Abadi (TSA) and PT Sawit Multi Utama (SMU) from PT Citra Borneo Indah, ensured as the right step to maintain and increases the production ability, operations, and company financial.
According to the statement from Main Director of PT Sawit Sumbermas Sarana Tbk, Rimbum Situmorang, by the acquisition SSMS can strengthen their position in palm oil plantations business. Also adding amount the palm oil plantations owned by SSMS which is reached 78,070 hectares to date.
“Our plantations area will widen. The acquisition also as one of solution to fulfill the high demand of CPO products in the future,” Rimbum said, recently in Jakarta.
It is informed, for the acquisition PT SSMS has invested as Rp1.5 trillion, which is still in agreement step from the shareholders. Both of the companies located in Central Borneo. (T2)
