PEKANBARU – Palm oil farmers in Rokan Hilir (Rohil), Riau Province, complained the low of their fresh fruit bunches (FFB) price. Moreover, their sell price traded lower from the local Agriculture Agency determined-price.
A farmer in Rokan Hilir Regency, Bambang, as published by Bertuah Pos, on Monday (08/12/2014), he admit the current FFB price is worst under Rp 1,300 per kg.
“Usually in the end of the year, palm oil mill deliberately amasses FFB. It probably cause of the holiday. Then if we want to deliver to the mill, the distance is too far away,” he said.
Whereas Agriculture Agency of Riau asserted the low of FFB price for a few months will never under Rp 1,400. (T3)
