KUALA LUMPUR – A company which is operating in many sector includes palm oil plantation, Sime Darby Berhad, on its first quarter ended by 30th September 2014 (1QFY2014/15) reported their profit before tax as RM674.9 million or get increasing as 1% and net profit increases by 2% to RM500.7 million.
According to the company, plantation’ division take the biggest contribution in profit, there are by the increasing of fresh fruit bunches (FFB) production and oil extraction rate (OER).
“In this first three month of our financial year, we always faces so many significant challenges of group, mainly the lower of average sell price of crude palm oil (CPO) and the realization of coal price declining,” said President and Chief Executive Group of Sime Darby, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Mohd Salleh Bakke, in his statement, recently.
