BELAWAN – Assistant Branch Manager of Pelindo I Belawan, Roswita SH through his staff Rica Girsang, on Thursday (04/12/2014), stated until the end of October 2014, North Sumatera exporting still higher that importing by comparison in export as .040.869 tons, while imports only in 2.352.606 tons through Belawan Port.
Citing from Andalas, the dominant importing is fuel oils that is reaches 25.444 tons and exports dominated by palm oil which reaches 266.040 tons.
It is estimated, there is an increasing in Loading Unloading (LU) of shipment in 2014 that are unloading based teus, size, and export tonnage was higher than imports.
“From the data proven that North Sumatera commodities still have big chance to adding local revenue and need more good quality in delivery or the goods itself. Thus it still acceptable by the importer countries,” he said. (T3)
