KAMPUNG PULAU – Trading competition in global vegetable oil sector heated, it can see from the soar of negative campaign from Europe Unions (EU) towards palm oil industry especially from Indonesia.
According to President of Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, Europe isn’t welcome to receive Indonesian palm oil, they prefer their sunflower farmers. That’s why, he complained to World Trade Organization (WTO) related to the difficulties faces by Indonesia palm oil products to entering Europe market.
“They want to protect their sunflower farmers, we are also want to protect our farmers. I think it have to be discussed more in WTO cause the thing is going in there,” he said in Kampung Pulau, Central Borneo, on Friday (05/12/2014).
He added, as published by Obsession News, European countries want to protect their sunflowers, one of their famous product, thus they closed themselves from another countries to entering their market. (T3)
