Surplus Malaysian Trade Reaches RM62.83 Billion




KUALA LUMPUR – Ministry of International Trading and Industry (MITI) reported surplus value from trading of Malaysian commodities for the first nine months in 2014 as RM62.83 billion, by the total of trading value increasing by 6.6% or RM1.21 trillion from the last same period in 2013.

Malaysian export revenue also increases by 7.3% to RM34.75 billion as the increasing of country’s export value as 5.9% to RM571.92 billion.

In its statement, cited by My Sinchew, on Friday (05/12/2014), MITI stated Malaysian export development supported by major markets, such are Asean, Europe Union (EU), Hongkong, India, Australia, United States (US), Taiwan and Japan.

“Almost 90% exported goods to Asean consist of manufactured products such are petroleum, crude oils, chemical materials and products, crude palm oil (CPO, fractionated coconut oil, palm kernel oil, olein, and stearin) also optics and scientists product,” said MITI. (T4)
