PELAIHARI – Until September 2014, recorded palm oil plantations wide in Tanah Laut Regency, South Borneo Province reaches 96.099 hectares as stated by Tanah Laut’ Regent, Bambang Alasmsya, on Wednesday (03/12/2014).
He said, as cited by Antara Kalsel, the growth of plantations in 2014 run into promising development, although the economic crisis in Europe and America is not recover yet to date, moreover causes the fluctuation of price to farmers.
“From 96.099 hectares palm oil plantations wide, produces 928.454 tons of CPO,” he said.
He continued to explains, not only the planting efforts of palm oil and rubber, local regency government also rehabilitates forest and land, by doing reforestation in 110 hectares land-area. (T3)
