NEW DELHI – Crude palm oil prices gained 0,59% to Rs 446.90 per 10kg in India’s futures trade as speculators indulged in creating fresh positions after demand picked up in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, crude palm oil for delivery in January next year moved up by Rs 2.60, or 0,59% to Rs 446.90 per 10kg in abusiness turnover of 206 lots.
Similarly, the oil for delivery in December edged higher by Rs 2.10 or 0.48% to Rs 439.80 per 10kg in 418 lots.
Analyst said to The Economic Times (02/12/2014), fresh positions built up by participants, driven by pick-up demand in the spot market against tight supplies from producing belt, mainly led to the rise in crude palm oil prices at futures trade. (T4)
