JAKARTA – G20 Europe Unions (EU) countries apply high import tax tariff to its members, includes Indonesian crude palm oil (CPO). Fadhil Hasan, Executive Director of Indonesian Palm Oil Companies Association (GAPKI), stated, Indonesian CPO will applied import tax tariff by 15-20%.
“There is something like protective efforts of each other,” he said last week, as published by Medan Bisnis.
He added to explain, the obstacle of importing Indonesian CPO to G20 fellow countries happen in three countries are Europe Union, America, and Russia.
That’s why Fadhil asks the government to evaluate all of the regulations when Indonesia joined to certain countries group. “Although the G20 is independence, the government must fully-evaluates all of the effects to Indonesian economy,” he expects. (T3)
