KUALA LUMPUR – The coming of calculates of Greenhouse Gases (GHG) scheme that will applied in palm oil plantations whole of the world, includes farmers, responded by the farmers.

According to the statement form Setara Jambi Foundation, Sahadi, although there were some farmer groups that own RSPO certificate for independent farmer scheme, in fact still in changing of cultivating palm oil design for being sustainable with the environment.

If so far related to the emergence of scheme that have to fulfill by the farmers, Sahadi stated, still far away from farmers thought. “To change the design of better palm oil cultivating is difficult, moreover for related to GHG scheme, never in our thought,” he said to InfoSAWIT, on Wednesday (19/22) in Kuala Lumpur.

 For knowledge, Setra Jambi Foundation has been delivered Gapoktan Tanjung Sehati consist of 6 farmer groups, by the total of 227 members to get RSP certificate on last July 2014. “The certified-land consist of 214 owners, this cause there were cultivating other commodity besides palm oil,” explained Sahadi.
