TANJUNG SELOR – Palm oil seeds procurement program for East Tanjung Palas society proclaimed by Agriculture Agency of Bulungan in 2014fiscal year isn’t materializes yet.

According to the Head of Bulungan Agriculture Agency, M Iqbal, it is caused by the contractor that have been followed the auction fro the procurement isn’t ready for the standardized-specs. “Whereas, we held three times of auctions, all of the auctions are failed, there were no any enthusiasts,” he said, as published by Koran Kaltim, on Sunday (16/11).

He explained, from the determined specifications, the contractors couldn’t fulfill the provision of seedling age and obtaining letters of excellence seeds that will provided.

“The guarantee from Monitoring and Seedlings Certification Agency (BPSB) of East Borneo Province is the seeds have to be available in real. As a precaution, the seedlings given to the society aren’t excellence seeds. The main focus from the people will be the related agency,” he explained.

While he added, the seedling price for each seed is in RP40 thousand for 50 hectares land. The budget is Rp300 million. (T3)
