The Weather Effects the Offering Similarities of Palm Oil

JAKARTA  - Global Vice President, Frost & Sullivan, Chris de Lavigne said, the weather is one crucial factor to offer kernel oil and palm oil. It is also important to determine the price.

The dry condition in eight to sixteen weeks, he thought, will make moisture in palm oil. “This could reduce the production up to 30% than in the normal condition. But it depends on the worst condition level,” he said to InfoSAWIT, Wednesday (3/9/2014).

In the wet condition, Chris explained, palm oil could disturb the harvest and logistics directly. This will also reduce the productions up to 15% from the potential harvest, especially when El Nino happens. (T3)
