China’s Economy Slows, CPO Prices Threatened

JAKARTA - Research and Analyst of PT Monex Investindo Futures Zulfirman Basir said, on Wednesday (05/11/2014) showed the data of reduced activity of the Chinese service sector can make the investors worry about the threat of deceleration of the second biggest country in its economy in the world.

“This can make investors worried about the outlook  for the demand of Crude Palm Oil (CPO), considering China is the second-largest palm oil consumer in the world. It may still be a negative for CPO,” said Zulfirman in his research, as written by Metro TV.

In addition, investors are still wary of the abundant global supply of agricultural products, especially soybeans, which can overshadow the performance of CPO. (T3)
