KUCHING – Sarawak Oil Palm Plantation Owners Association (SOPPOA) fully supports the government’s initiative in the utilization of biogas facilities in all of Malaysian palm oil mills.
“The utilization of biogas for generating electricity for supply to the main network in Malaysian Peninsular are being successfully implemented by the payment of rates to the plant,” the association said in a statement on Tuesday (04/11/2014), quoted by The Borneo Post.
However, SOPPOA said that the condition in Sarawak is really different from Malaysian Peninsular for the terms of infrastructure development, as well as legal implications of tariff considerations. (T3)
