NEW DELHI – To reduce the demand and supply gap of crude palm oil in India, Indian government plans to do an expansion of palm oil plantation areas in 1,03 million hectares –nearly the size of the U.S. state of Connecticut- potential land that can produce four to five million metric tons of palm oil per year, based from Indian Ministry of Agriculture.
