 2015, POM Owning by Palm Oil Farmers will Operate

JAKARTA – Indonesian Palm Oil Farmers Association (Apkasindo) explained, in 2015 a Palm Oil Mill owning by the smallholders will operate.

The POM, as published by Investor Daily, established in Batulicin, Tanah Bumbu regency, South Borneo since 2013 ago, by production capacity 30 ton of Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) per hour with Rp 130 billion investment fund.

The Mill will operate in 2015 in the name of smallholders cooperative in South Borneo which has at lest 2.800 members. By the mill, the smallholders hope the increasing of their welfare.

Council Regions Leader of Apkasindo in South Borneo, Amin Nugroho said, the financing of the development of POM were collected from cooperative members. For the rest of the financial were gotten from the loan of the bank. Collection development fund using a method such as in stock exchange. “As of shares valued at Rp 2,5 million, so the collected Rp 70 billion,” he said, not long ago.

He continued to explain, the cooperative that established the company is Sinar Kencana Plantation. For the name of The company that is trusted to manage the POM is PT Batulicin Agro Sentosa. (T3)
