PONTIANAK – Governor of West Borneo Cornelis explained, there were some palm oil companies which weren’t develop smallholders clearly, thus making the society plantation area not prosper and often lead to conflict.
“There were no any obstacle in West Borneo. We just release local regulations in order to make the company consistently giving attention to the smallholders,” he explained, as published by Antara Kalbar, Wednesday (29/10/2014).
He added, the entrepreneurs see only the economic and legal aspects, but less attention to social aspects, customs, and politics. (T3)
