SHANGHAI - Malaysiatargets to have bigger import to China. Secretary of Plantation and Commodity Industries, Malaysia, Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas said in the opening Palm Oil Trade Fair & Seminar (POTS) Malaysia-China, recently.
Malaysianow imports 58,8% of the palm oil. So it is hopedto be 70%. "Chinais the main palm oil export. It reached 20,4% of Malaysian global export,” he said as quoted from The Star.
Uggah continued, palm oil is the second important material which is consumed by China after soybean. Last year, palm oil consumption reached 6,3 millions or about 17,7% of the vegetable oil consumption.(T3)
