BALIKPAPAN – A palm oil mill company, Wilmar Nabati Indonesia, PT, located in Balikpapan, East Kalimantan, get arrived by some people from Custom Council of Dayak Paser on Monday (13th October 2014). They claimed the company to give their custom land back.
The Dayak people claimed, the company has authorized the 42 hectares of their custom land for the Wilmar’s office building. Besides, they also claimed 216 hectares of the land as their own land that also have been authorized by Wilmar.
“We are so disappointed. We have owned this land for so long. This land is own by 28 custom’s leader of Dayak, one of them is Sabit Bidangu,” said one of the member of Pemuda Dayak Paser, Dedi Pelampung, as published by Tempo.
Although, he ignored if the case will finished by law-court way. He said that the land was the custom land, so there is no any official letter that own by them. (T3)
