JAKARTA – Palm oil plantation company, Bumitama Agri Ltd, has recently announced to join its two subindustries, they are PT. Bumitama Energi Lestari (BEL) and PT. Bumitama Oleo Santoso (BOS).
The goal of joining two subindustries, which the company told InfoSAWIT on Thursday, (7/8/2014), is to make main company to run the downstream products in biodiesel, general trade of crude palm oil (CPO), related products and investment.
“While BOS is to be the holding company to produce downstream product, such as, distillation of CPO to be cooking oil, stearin, distillation palm oil fat acid, and general trade, related products and investment,” Executive Chairman and CEO, Lim Gunawan Haryanto explained
BEL and BOS were founded based on the regulation in this country by giving modal up to Rp 10 billions dan Rp 5 billions. Gunawan also explained that the companies have 95% shares in BEL and in BOS; the rests 5% belong to PT. Harita Jayaraya. (T3)
