JAKARTA – Governor of Central Kalimantan, TerasNarang said, enlarging palm oil in his region will not destroy productive agriculture area. Teras said it in Jakarta, Tuesday (26/8/2014).
Palm oil plantations, according to Plantation Agency, reach about 1.067.000 hectares, 67% of it in the forest area. “Most of the plantation are in the forest regions,” he said as written in Tempo. 33% of palm oil plantation are in the non forest area.
Teras guaranteed, palm oil will not disturb the protected, conservation, production forests and also agriculture area in the region. (T3)
