JAMBI – The price of palm oil fresh fruit in Jambi in the first quarter 2014 significantly increased. The average price of ten year old trees increased 9,83% to be Rp 2.005,80 /kg than in the first quarter in last year.
Chief of Communication and Policy Coordination, the Representative of Indonesian Bank, Jambi Province, Ihsan W Prabawa, Tuesday, (1/7/2014) said, the average price of CPO in Jambi increased 5,61% t be Rp 8724,12 /kg. “If it was compared to 213, thhe price of the fruit in Jambi significantly increased, 49,48%,” he said.
The increasing price in Jambi, he said as written in Harian Jambi, happened for the decreasing of Rupiah towards US dollar so the domestic price increased drastically and also for many numbers of palm oil factories (POF) in Jambi and the rising demands of fruit. (T3)
