Moratorium Postponed the Progress of Palm Oil Farmers

MALANG –General Secretary of Indonesian Palm Oil Farmers Association (IPOFA) Asmar Arsjadsaid, moratorium which the government made in 2011 postponed the progress of Indonesian palm oil farmers.

The moratorium which has been done for five years postponed the farmers to do their works. “The farmers are difficult to get loan for the plantation and they are getting worse – when they want to plant, they have no money,” he said in Malang, Thursday, (19/6/2014).

Asmar continued, his side hoped there will be area certification, replanting, and the farmers board empowerment. (T3)
