Jakarta – After meeting 300 CPO buyers in Europe, Vice Secretary of Trade, Bayu Khrisnamurti said, the European positively responds Indonesian crude palm oil.
The buyers were worried about the environmental issue of Indonesian CPO which was widely spreaded. “They convinced, not all Indonesian CPO has been in trouble,” Bayu recently said in Jakarta.
Bayu also told, the European actually need CPO, but it depends on how Indonesia multiplies the CPO productions but decreasing the problems.
But if European want environmental CPO, Indonesia is ready to prepare it. Furthermore Indonesia has its own certification, that is, Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil. This requirement is slight different from CPO international certificate, 10% only, that is Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). (T2)
