InfoSAWIT, JAKARTA – Indonesia’s crude palm oil (CPO) price rose on Friday, September 11, 2026, even as palm oil futures on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives ended lower amid concerns over rising production and inventories in Malaysia.
The CPO price set by PT Kharisma Pemasaran Bersama Nusantara (KPBN) reached Rp15,708 per kilogram, up Rp42, or around 0.27%, from the highest bid of Rp15,666 per kg recorded on Thursday.
According to KPBN data, the CPO price on a Franco Dumai basis was set at Rp15,708 per kg. Meanwhile, the FOB Talang Duku price opened at Rp15,458 per kg before the tender was withdrawn, with the highest bid reaching Rp15,297 per kg.
At Franco Teluk Bayur, the CPO price opened at Rp15,508 per kg before the tender was withdrawn. The highest bid stood at Rp15,325 per kg.
The contrasting movement between the Indonesian physical market and Malaysian futures came as traders continued to assess supply conditions in the world's major palm oil-producing regions.
On Bursa Malaysia Derivatives, the September 2026 CPO contract fell RM48 to RM4,550 per tonne. The October contract declined RM46 to RM4,670 per tonne, while the November contract dropped RM71 to RM4,814 per tonne.
Further down the forward curve, the December 2026 contract fell RM89 to RM4,944 per tonne. The January 2027 contract declined RM98 to RM5,056 per tonne, while the February 2027 contract slipped RM100 to RM5,148 per tonne.
Trading activity increased during the session. Total volume rose to 176,318 lots, compared with 149,992 lots on Thursday, while open interest climbed to 349,906 contracts from 340,891 contracts previously.
