JAKARTA –General Director of Foreign Trade, Ministry of Trade, Bachrul Chairi, said, palm oil is the strategic industries for Indonesia by hiring 20 millions of workers, both direct and indirect ones involving in the industry. The industries also contribute to the foreign exchange about US$ 19,1 billions in 2013.
Bachrul continued, palm oil has important role to alleviate poverty. “There are three farmers joining the diplomacy. This becomes the evidence, oil increases the welfare of the farmers,” Bachrul said in his official conference, in Jakarta,Monday, (9/6/2014). (T2)
