JAKARTA – Ministry of Forestry as the control institution to the forest in Indonesia should be responsible to the constitution about the decision of indigenous forest change.
Coordinator of Law and Politices Aliansi Masyarakat Adat Nusantara (AMAN) Rukka Sombolinggi said, Ministry of Forestry claimed all forests belong to the country but in the decision of Constitutional Court MK No. 35/PUU-X/2012, indigenous forest is not part of country forest but belongs to the indigenous people. “ So Ministry of Forest is against the decision,” he recently said to InfoSAWIT in Jakarta.(T3)
